Governor Ritchie said he awaited the investigation result into efforts to destroy equipment of the M. J. Grove Lime Kiln Co used on road work near Cavetown. The latest incident prompted M. J. Grove, president of the company, to petition authorities for action.
A report to Governor Ritchie cites sabotage of road equipment about ten days earlier with damage estimated at 5000 dollars. Grove claims thefts and violence. Ritchie says detectives are investigating and he will act after results are learned.

Joseph Esposito was convicted in U S District Court of passing two counterfeit ten dollar bills and possessing two more. Robert White was acquitted. Both men were arrested in Carroll County on complaints from Tyrone gas station operators.

Hospital visits include Mrs. Nace Rubek and Miss Helen Daugherty awaiting an operation. St Pauls school opened with a large enrollment and new teachers Miss Mildred Meyers and Robert Kinna.
At Lejeune injured in fall on campus while visiting the Virginia Military Institute power plant. The 65 year old former Marine Corps commander suffered a skull fracture and a broken left arm. Dr. Coleman aided after the accident and his condition was listed as good though he remained unconscious. Michigan celery growers begin shipment inspections into Illinois to curb corn borer spread.
Lewis Kefauver 82, former Maryland legislator, was assaulted at his Middletown area farm by Elmer Summers 52 and son Albert Summers 28. Kefauver was beaten and injuring head and body. The Summers were jailed on charges of assault with intent to kill after Kefauver said Summers, intoxicated, attacked him in the dairy house. the elder Summers aided by his son. Also noted: 150 radio sets were deployed in 1932 to support fire reporting in national forests.
Two youths claim attachment to an Army post at Carlisle Pa are jailed in Pittsburgh awaiting further hearing on transporting a stolen auto. Robert W. Smyre of Hagerstown Md and John A. Salkeld of Saxton Pa were committed in default for 2000 dollars bonds after being accused of taking a car from Hagerstown to Beaver Falls Pa.
