New York state approved repeal of the prohibition amendment by a large margin. In New York City the repeal vote reached about 41 to one, with 1,047,068 for repeal and 26,506 against. Statewide results with most districts reported showed repeal leading by wide margins, and 160 delegates pledged to repeal will convene June 27 in Albany. 30 More States Needed To Kill 18th Amendment

County Board Plans Road Build in Washington County
Washington County Board of Commissioners approved a tentative plan to spend about 55,789 on new roads this summer subject to State Roads Commission approval.
