Judge Orders Acquittal in Mooney Case
San Francisco May 25 Tom Mooney was acquitted and sent back to San Quentin where he serves a life sentence. The defense committee spoke of pursuing a pardon from Governor Rolph and an appeal to the U S Supreme Court. Mooney expressed happiness though unable to deny guilt as he faced handcuffs. Confesses to 10 An Attempted Bank Hold-Up
Aden O. Biter 45 of Washington former Leimeter area resident confessed to a Peoples National Bank hold-up in Lemaster late yesterday identified by the bank cashier and director J B Sollenberger. Ambrose arrested him near Greencastle after a description led to a confrontation in which Biter allegedly attempted to gag the cashier. He admitted planning a small theft, said he would plead guilty and provided his Washington D C address.
