Memorial Day Services In Washington County
Memorial Day activities will honor Washington County World War dead with a 1:45 p.m. march from the Legion Home on West Antietam Street led by the Municipal Band. The procession will proceed to the Court House where wreaths will be placed on the Memorial Tablet by Legion Auxiliary Gold Star Mothers and 40 and Eight, followed by a benediction, taps, and a later service at Rose Hill Cemetery with Theodore R. McKeldin of Baltimore as orator. Participants include Company B G A R, Veterans of Spanish War, and other groups.

Lynchburg College selects captain Allen Eckstine of Hagerstown
Allen Eckstine of Hagerstown has been elected captain of Lynchburg College's track team. He is a three letter man in football basketball and track, holds the conference two mile record and the school mile record, and did not lose a race this season. He has played every basketball position.

Negro Youth Sentenced for Market House Break-In
Walter Kines, colored youth, was sent to Montrose Training School after arraignment in Juvenile Court before Justice Harry Snyder for breaking and entering the city market house Sunday. George Burns, his accomplice, was released to Harrisburg with relatives. They entered through a window and carried off three cartons of cigarettes.

Storm Wrecks Property Across Adams And Franklin Counties
A severe wind and rainstorm Saturday evening caused heavy damage in Adams and Franklin counties Pennsylvania.
