Pittsburgh March 12 The Crandall McKenzie Henderson Cleaning and Dyeing Corporation stockholders authorize liquidation of the half million dollar firm after peace talks with striking employees collapsed. Operations at the plant have been suspended since the walkout. Management had offered 25 percent profit distribution to employees but was rejected. Twenty four AFL drivers and salesmen demanded 10 percent commission and a ten dollar weekly guarantee.

18 Horses Die in Millwood Stable Fire at Hewitt Estate
A fire at Abram Hewitt's Montana Hall near Millwood Clarke county destroyed multiple barns and killed at least 18 horses, mostly thoroughbreds. Loss is unofficially around 75000 dollars with eight horses saved. Among the deceased were 11 brood mares, several foals, and seven draft horses including a Belgian stallion. Fines Imposed In Disorderly House Cases
Justice pleads guilty in Washington County cases. Joseph Prokop, 37, of Johnstown Pa., fined 100 dollars and costs and given six months in jail with sentence suspended on condition he leave town within 10 days. Wilnam Bays Roxie Hudson Seplie Anderson and Marie Burke also pleaded guilty to disorderly house charges, fined 50 dollars and costs each, with suspended jail terms and orders to depart Hagerstown within 10 days. Arrests followed raids on Bethel street and the 300 block of South Potomac street. Prokop and a woman were said to have come from Johnstown recently. Attorneys D K McLaughlin and E Stuart Bushong represented the defendants.

Arrest Of Soviet Spy Reported In Washington Area
