The Cum alley Postal Employes Association revived its ten year hiatus with 375 attendees from Cumberland Valley and nearby towns. Speakers included Congressman Albert Austin and Congressman William D. Bryan, with Rex Gaver as toastmaster. 70-Piece Band To Give Concert At Maryland Theatre
A 70 piece band, among the finest, will perform at the Maryland Theatre Wednesday night as the final event of the American Bandmasters Association convention. The Municipal Band joins thirty star musicians from Army Navy and Marine Corps bands with twenty one conductors leading original overtures and marches written for the concert. The roster includes J Arthur Hill and many others on woodwinds brass and percussion plus harpist William Cameron and a large ensemble of soloists and conductors.
