Federal agents said they broke up a violent bank robbing gang with four men convicted for hold ups at Clearspring Walkersville and White Hall between October 1933 and last January 16. Gerald Peabody the ringleader received 23 years. Sydney James Owen Thompson Dallas H Whipp and William Wesley Dunnock drew 19 15 and 12 year terms with fines. The judge called the gang one of the most vicious in the country and praised the FBI for its role in stopping them.

Body Of Woman Found In Quarry Near Martinsburg
The frozen body of Cordie Virginia Tutwiler, 42, missing since December 10, was found in an abandoned limestone quarry south of Martinsburg, West Virginia.
