Electrified duo executed for eggnog murder at Sing Sing

Frances Creighton and Everett C. Applegate were executed by electric chair in Sing Sing for the murder of Ada Applegate. Creighton wheeled in unconscious. Applegate walked unaided. The warden noted Creighton as a first sentenced woman wheeled to the chair. Applegate proclaimed innocence to witnesses before death.

A San Francisco delegation at the Shrine convention carted a table and chairs from a cafe in Seattle. They calmly settled at the intersection of two major streets and ordered breakfast, refusing to move until finished, halting buses streetcars and other traffic for two hours.

French Airmen To Visit Plant Here

Four representatives of the French Air Ministry are due in Hagerstown today for a tour of the Fairchild Co. plant before heading to Martinsburg. They previously toured Glenn L. Martin Co. in Baltimore and expect a non stop trans Atlantic air mail service within two years while opposing an intermediate stop at Bermuda. The group includes French commercial representatives and will then visit Martinsburg Detroit Chicago and the West Coast before returning around August 1.
