Fugitive Jolley Held in California for Murder
Odell Jolley, a colored man, who escaped from the State Penal Farm on October 11, 1940, is under arrest in California. He was serving a second degree murder term with four years remaining when he fled. He had been sought in connection with Raleigh Poffenberger’s murder, after which Poffenberger’s killers were later arrested tried and executed. Penal Farm officials planned to travel to California to bring him back.

Youths Returned From Luray Bar Circuit
