Chief Judge W Mason Shehan of the second judicial district died suddenly at 5 30 am after a heart attack. He was 67 and had suffered heart trouble since his wife’s death in a 1938 automobile accident. Survived by his son George, his daughter in law, and another son W Mason Shehan Jr in Hawaii, he served as State Insurance Commissioner and led the State Bar Association. Funeral services set for 2 pm Tuesday at the Shehan residence.

Escaped prisoner captured Sunday near Roxbury tracks
Leroy Krebs, 24, who fled from Maryland State Penal Farm at Roxbury Friday night, was captured Sunday afternoon along the B and O tracks a few miles from the farm by Officers Rose mere, Smeak and Porter. Milton Denlin, 20, who escaped at the same time, remains at large. Krebs, serving time for robbery, was returned to the House of Correction.
