On Thursday October 8 1925 the government will dedicate Dam 34 at Chile Ohio with an all day picnic on the reservation grounds. U S engineers will host a welcoming program with Secretary of War and lawmakers aboard the steamer Cincinnati arriving at 10 am. A day of speeches bands and air bombs is planned with tours of the dam and locks in operation.

MILL BURNS IN MASSIVE LOVE LAND FIRE
A large fire in Love Land Ohio destroyed the L B Nisbet Lumber planing mill and barn early Friday. Firefighters led by Charles Liebold used a motorized pumper to fight the blaze, saving other buildings and horses. The mill and its contents burned, with several thousand feet of finished lumber lost. Loss estimated at twenty five thousand dollars, insured.

County Loses Damage Suit Over Bridge Accident
Mrs. Helen Gehl sued Clermont county for 15000 dollars claiming a bridge hole caused her horse to stumble and injure her. The jury awarded 3000 dollars. The county contends the driver was at fault and plans to appeal to higher courts.
