Columbus business leaders in September 1926 urge re elect Frank B Willis and oppose Atlee Pomerene citing his opposition to protective tariffs. They note Pomerene backed low duties in the Fordney McCumber bill and opposed tax cuts in 1921.
Hon. Chas. C. Kearns of Amelia and Hon. Nicholas Longworth of Cincinnati spoke to a crowded Portsmouth audience Saturday night. The Republican candidate for Congress in the Sixth district has risen to prominence on Ways and Means. He aided the last tax reduction bill and is viewed as popular with all constituents.
United States Senator Frank B. Willis and Republican candidate Myers Y. Cooper will speak on WAIU radio in Columbus after the Newark campaign opening. The broadcasts air Wednesday night following the Wednesday afternoon event.

A meeting of the Republican Central and Executive Committees and candidates is set for Saturday October 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the home of Chas C Karns in Amelia. Prominent speakers will attend and lunch will be served with music by the Marathon band. All interested in the Republican ticket are invited.
