Fire at Williamsburg stable destroys nothing
A small stable owned by D A Rees in Williamsburg caught fire Sunday afternoon but was extinguished before serious damage. The wareroom of Kaine Peterson, grocer, sits nearby in the town center with surrounding buildings. Winds and water scarcity nearly caused major destruction. The fire is thought due to spontaneous combustion.

A blaze engulfed the C. G. & P. station at South Bantam last Monday afternoon. Jasper York and family occupied the building, with peddler Grant also storing clothing valued at about $1200 which burned.
