The 64th annual reunion of the 69th C V I will be held at Bethel next Saturday October 1. The ranks thin with age, but all comrades are invited to join for a day of pleasure.
Gatch Speidel operates a tractor engine used for silo work when Irwin Kain driving it down Clark hill near Batavia Friday evening stopped and would not move. Mr Stamm of Williamsburg was summoned and set the machine in commission Saturday morning allowing silo filling to resume.
The opening meeting is set for Saturday October 1 at 2 30 p m with the theme Responses A Glimpse into the Future President's Hour and Visions of the Club Year. Hosts include Mrs A B Nichols and calendar committee members.

M F Apgar of Owensville died at home last Wednesday in his 71st year after a long illness. He left a widow and several grown children. Funeral services are set for Friday under the I O O F lodge with burial in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
Under a new law effective now grand and petit jurors in Common Pleas Court receive 8 per day plus 6 cents per mile instead of 5. The old rate was 2 per day. The same should apply to jurors in all courts including the mayor's court with no distinction in value of time.
