Batavian Dies In Auto Crash
George A. Gardner a 40 year old Batavia resident dies in an auto crash Friday near Middletown. He worked for McGraw Construction Co Middletown and was rooming in Middletown during the week. State Patrol said his car missed a curve on Yankee Road crashed through a guard rail and died from chest injuries. Funeral services were held Monday at Moore Funeral Home Batavia with burial in Batavia cemetery. Survived by wife Ruth.

Formation Of Park Board To Be First Step
The Amelia Lions Club sponsors a Ladies Night Banquet at 6:45 p m on Thursday September 22 at the D X Ranch. Township association calls for higher deputy sheriff funding
At a Pierce Township Civic Association meeting on September 19 at Locust Corner Township Hall a committee drafted a minimum qualification list for a police constable and the group urged higher sheriff funding.
