Champlin Area Center project moves toward fall construction
Clermont County commissioners pledged between 3000 and 5000 toward the Eastern Area Center while waiving building electrical and sewer permit fees. The project seeks 1325000 in pledges with 90000 already pledged by key area businesses. A 800000 construction cost will be funded by a Farmers Home Administration loan and a 250000 grant for a day care center.

Sailor seeks Lexington shipmates for reunion in Reno
Former sailor Ralph Thompson, 58, seeks Navy personnel who served on the USS Lexington for a reunion October 2 to 4 at the Harrah Hotel in Reno Nevada. He recalls serving in aviation ordnance during World War II and hopes to connect with John G Brunk in Miami Township and others. Thompson notes the Lexington's current use as a training carrier and its record for aircraft takeoffs and landings.
