New Trustee Named for Monroe Township Board
David Luck 38 of Laurel Lindale Road was named to fill the unexpired term of the late Carl M White on the Monroe Township board of trustees. The appointment at a special meeting by trustees John White and Arthur Wehrmann runs until January 1 1972. Luck and his wife Marcella have lived in the township 12 years and he previously served on the Monroe School Board before consolidation with New Richmond. He is a Ford Motor Co stationary engineer and active with United Appeal New Richmond Christian Church and Buckeye Masonic Lodge.

Clermont County to host mobile x ray unit through October and November
Clermont County Tuberculosis and Health Association will run a mobile X ray unit for five Saturdays starting Oct 5 with expanded stops at Mt. Carmel and Milford. About 2,618 X rays were done last year in Clermont. A $1 X ray fee helps offset costs. district personnel and food service workers have mandatory screening schedules. The Forget-Me-Not drive by Disabled American Veterans Chapter 63, chaired by Carlos S. Hutson, will be held Sept 21.

Trustees vote for and then rescind one mill fire levy
Glen Este Union Township trustees first voted to place a one mill tax levy on the ballot at the urging of the Withamsville Fire Department to upgrade equipment and pay for runs and training. Three days later they rescinded the action after a special request by the North Union Township Fire Department noting current levy income grows with property valuation and already covers expenses. both departments now receive over $22,000 annually from the present levy.

Civic Group Seeks Lower Water Rates in Clermont County
The West Clermont Civic Club asks Clermont County Commissioners to cut the Pierce Union Batavia water system minimum to four dollars a month, citing two years since the last request and a history of over one hundred fifty thousand dollars in annual net revenue. The Water Committee members Alfred Fangman and Irene Hassebrock signed the letter, urging immediate action or an explanation. The board filed the letter with Sanitary Engineer Walter Carter and made no comment.
