William Henry Moyer, born in Brown county and long a Clermont resident near Bethel, will celebrate his 100th birthday next Sunday. Civil War veteran of Co. A OVI and Co. F 137 OVI, he is a former mail carrier, G A R member, and longtime stock raiser. He has spent the last decade with his daughter in law near Williamsburg after years with his son John, now aged and wheelchair bound.

Arrangements for the New Richmond Pumpkin Show on September 27 to 29 are advancing rapidly with expected record youth participation and many prize entries.
