Mary friends learn Russell Marsh was wounded in France and is in an English hospital, steady. Rosemary Jackson of Cincinnati visited her mother Rose Jackson. Mrs Floyd Redfield improves from Bethesda Hospital. The Knolws and McMurchey families recover from illness. Gilbert McMurchey won first prize in rifle shoot at Ft Atterbury, Ind. Archie McMurchy started school in Fincastle. Numerous visits and family notices follow, with extended relatives and neighbors in the area and travel from Denver and Florida to the Moore home.
The community of Glen Este expresses sympathy for the death of Mr. George Patterson. Mrs. Patterson and children receive support from friends. Neighbors report visits and condolences, with thanks to Dr. John H. Hunt Nurses at Children’s Hospital and Rev. J. A. Shirer for services.
Mrs Henry Horn fell on a freshly painted road line in Owensville and broke her arm. Bridge club met with twenty members. prizes went to Mrs Randall Liming and Miss Bowman.
