Wild Plants Studied For Vitamin Content
U.S. Department of Agriculture experiments identify Buffaloberry as exceptionally rich in vitamin C with a serving equaling about twice the daily allowance. Jam from berries holds about two-thirds that amount. New Hampshire wild blueberries offer vitamin C when eaten raw. Wild rice supplies several B vitamins and field mushrooms also prove rich in these B vitamins.
