Seventh Roudebush family reunion near Venice on Miami River
The Roudebush family held its seventh annual reunion near Venice on the Miami river Saturday. A report of Rev. George S. Roudebush of Madison Station Miss. death was received with praise for his life as an educator and minister. He was 92 years old and maintained his faculties. The next reunion will be at Woodland Park on July 27 1922. W F Roudebush is president and Allen C Roudebush secretary.

Horseshoe pitching returns to Batavia court yard

Batavia schools opened September 12 with 400 students enrolled. Superintendent Marlowe and family welcomed. Prof George H. Oldest House in Clermont County Demolished
The first house built in Clermont County at Olive Branch owned by Mrs. Burlew was torn down last week though preserved in fair state. Daniel Apple, grandfather of D A Judd of Brazier, came from Pennsylvania in 1810 and his son Andrew bought 2000 acres nearby while the area was sparsely settled with large game. Apple donated the cemetery to township trustees and reserved a section for kin. The farm passed through several owners to Mrs. Burlew, whose widow now owns it.

Too Much Rain Delays Crops As Frosts Threaten
Farmers report excessive rainfall after a dry spell hampering corn and tobacco ripening. Potatoes and other crops benefited from recent showers, but continued rain delays harvests and risks frost. The two crops have recovered somewhat after a month of rain.
Family Reunion Cultivates Hoover and Houser Roots
The Hoover and Houser families held a reunion on the first Saturday in September at George Bennett's home near Felicity Ohio with 76 attendees. Attendees brought baskets and shared music and conversation as they traced ancestry to Franklin township and John Hoover who settled land from Hagerstown Maryland in 1407. Reunions date back to 1875 and the next gathering is planned for W O Sargent's residence on the first Saturday in September 1082.

By agreement of the attorneys the Milford Ohio liquor cases heard before Mayor Scott and carried to Clermont Common Pleas Court at Batavia were continued with Judge W A Joseph. The Milford court’s judgment was sustained except for Burkhauser and Barr whose case was not heard. Badger Found Near Batavia Thought to Escape Cincinnati Zoo
Harley Russ of Batavia found an unusual animal in fields near Batavia last Thursday. He identified it as a badger native to Asia, likely an escape from the Cincinnati Zoo, and confined it in an iron cage awaiting zoo officials. Weight estimated about 80 pounds.

Prisoners Sent to Cincinnati in Train Robbery Case
