Clermont County Faces Fund Shortfall Across Four Departments

Four Clermont county treasury funds are empty with no money until next February or March. The attorney general advised against letting contracts without funds, halting many orders. Election, county, bridge, and infirmary funds are exhausted, with about $1300 owed to election workers for September and another $1300 for November, to be paid once funds return.

Clermont County Republican Central Committee Endorses Taft Ticket

Nine members of Clermont county's Republican Central Committee met at Dennison hotel Cincinnati and unanimously resolved to back William Howard Taft for president and James Sherman for vice president along with the Republican State District and County tickets. They praised Taft's administration and Chicago platform while resisting the Progressive challenge and noting few defections.

Clermont County Experimental Farm Hosts First Picnic

The Clermont County Experimental Farm held its first picnic on Saturday September 7 drawing many visitors who inspected crops and farm improvements. Guests learned about corn, beans, cowpeas, potential dairy plans, and the land tiling project. The Lytle family gathered for their annual home event near town, with a large dinner and strong turnout.

Gustavus Adolphus Frazier born 1839 in Cincinnati died 1912 in Batavia Ohio aged 78 years 6 months 11 days He supported his family from youth while studying law and was admitted 1861 practicing at Felicity and Batavia For fifty one years he faced cases with integrity and energy He married Georgianna Goodwin in 1861 and Anna White Stiles in 1888 leaving two children and three grandchildren He was active in the M E Church and known for kindness to neighbors and family obituary notes his faith and nature inspired character believers say he is not dead but away.
