Four College Girls Walk From Wyoming to Amelia
Four young women from Wyoming Ohio walked 66 miles to Amelia in a single day starting at 8:30 a m and ending at 7 p m arriving hungry and foot sore. The group included Eloise Robinson Phila Robinson Margaret Taylor and Caroline Taylor leaders in Wyoming society. They later returned to Cincinnati by interurban car and milk car after fare disputes and a short hazy hitchhike. Williamsburg Men Escape Train Collision At Crossing
On August 26 Harve and Don Smith of Williamsburg avoided a passing N and W engine at a grade crossing. They jumped clear as the locomotive struck their automobile, which was hurled about fifty feet and destroyed. Don Smith had a child with him. Mrs Harve Smith fainted and needed medical attention.
