Investigators continue the Grause murder case after Frank Grause 68 was found Aug. 28 buried under rocks in a Snyder farm creek bed near Nicholsville. Deputies and a fire chief searched a Wollie Mallott farm area hoping to recover car tags and the murder weapon.

The 26 members of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department start a 30 hour instruction program led by Karl Moore of Georgetown to improve local fire protection. Training is funded by the State Department of Education and supported by local officials and safety organizations.
