Clermont County to hire jailers for new detention facility

Clermont County and the Clermont Warren Consortium plan to hire corrections officers for the new Detention Facility. The program, funded by the JTPA, screens applicants, requires minimum education, tests, background checks, and interviews led by Sheriff John Van Camp. Training will be an 80 hour curriculum at US Grant School Bethel with 75 students.

In Clermont County part 11 of a historical tour, the Tecumseh and Kenton clash near Glancy Corner on Marathon Road is noted as the county’s largest Indian battle. A DAR marker marks the site.
