Finchley Convicted in False Checks Case Sentenced to Prison
Wminley of Washington D D H was found guilty last week after indictment for issuing and publishing fraudulent checks. He received 10 to 20 years in the Ohio penitentiary, brought to the pen by 3 p m after 20 days from arrest. Sheriff Croswell and Deputy Roberts reported swift action. John Harget, who assaulted Sheriff Rapp years ago and escaped jail, drew 4 to 15 years and was taken to the pen with the sheriff and deputies. The arrest and conviction are said to aid local business and banking interests temporarily.
