The Courier reports broad county support for William C Bishop with a strong, party independent push. Voters are said to favor his image as a fair, law abiding candidate free from cliques and ready to enforce order. The piece notes opposition from Charles G White and predicts Bishop will win by a handsome majority.
The Batavia Woman's Club schedules its next meeting on November 1 at the home of Mrs. W. B. Miller. The program features Revelations Paper Paul His Writings and Journeys, Bible reading by Mrs. Walker, and a paper on Modernism and the Coming Reformation by Mrs. McCormick.
The County Auditor presents detailed annual figures on receipts and disbursements, officer salaries, roads and pike work, supplies, and department costs, with open public access. The Sun accuses Democrats of bias and urges Republicans to run county offices. Fresh Lehigh cement cited at Fohr's in Williamsport at 2.80 per barrel.
Citizens along the Ohio river critique Governor Donahey for a 70 mile sand pike in Clermont County saying it lacks a firm foundation. They warn weather will ruin the route and accuse three bosses of overloading with 40 percent sand and 60 percent loam. Critics contrast with Governor Harry L. Davis who built pikes with solid foundations.
Voters in Clermont County will decide on a two mill five year road levy at the November 4 election. Money funds repair and upkeep of county pikes now fair but risk neglect. The levy would not raise current taxes beyond present levels as it continues the existing levy through December. Without it road funding would be inadequate. Good roads boost property value and travel, and automobile use heightens the need. Vote yes in the designated place.
The Amelia Baptist Sunday school hosts a Halloween social at Town Hall on Friday evening October 31 1924. The event features witches goblins and spooks with music by the Bethel Band and a light 16 cent entry, with refreshments and future fate readings by witches.
Hon. C. C. Kearns Fred Edgington and Chas. S. Burdsall spoke at Republican meetings in Milford on November 1st outlining party positions and local issues.
The report shows total net expense and 120 acres in farm land with 60 acres improved. Average yearly inmate count is 32 with 19 males and 13 females. Albert Anstaett is named as superintendent under county commissioners.
After a townwide canvass on September 19 teachers and patrons formed Amelia's P. T. A. A temporary chair and secretary led the first meeting as officers were elected and committees named. By October 15 a junior group of 57 members joined and the organization adopted a model constitution and a program on Our Children's Leisure Hours.
Mrs. Zelphia Christie hosted the East Fork Progressive Farm Womans Club on October 16 with a program including songs, readings, a round table on The Situation in Europe, and a penny march. Neva Ogden of Norwood attended. A lunch of potato chips, sandwiches, pickles, pumpkin pie and coffee followed.
Cincinnati misses mail from ZQ-3 but Branch Hill resident Mrs. Harry Spear receives a card carried by the dirigible via Commander J. H. Klein Jr. The item concludes with an advertisement from Paul M. Rapp Batavia offering the county’s largest stove stock and price savings by writing or calling.
Charles E Burdsall, candidate for Probate Judge in Clermont County, urges voters to cast a Judicial Ballot on November 4 1924. He pledges economy efficiency and service, promises to render fair justice, and thanks supporters while urging continued aid until ballots are counted. He encourages voting the Judicial Ballot along with National State and County tickets.
In districts where the three mill levy expires this year ballots will ask voters to retain the present rate. A vote to carry keeps tax revenue the same. a failure could cut about half of school funding, endangering state aid and shortening terms. Citizens urged to vote yes.

Representatives from Amelia M. E. Batavia Presbyterian and United Brethren churches attended a two session conference at Batavia M. E. church on October 26. O T Winters presided and key talks covered Sunday School work and youth programs. Re-elections included O T Winter and Walter Bauer. Leola Burlew resigned, J L Anderson elected secretary. Evening program featured educational addresses by Geo McCulloch E Burd Sall and Rev Semrau with Batavia Orchestra and Junior choir. The temperance pageant Alice in Wonderland educated attendees. Next conference scheduled for April at Amelia.
Surveyor Brown endorses his candidacy promising Better Roads and Less Taxes. He claims current road projects use more material than before and argues the job requires a man like him.
Three county flocks with White Leghorn Barred Rocks and Rhode Island Reds show strong progress toward a 160 eggs per bird per year target. September reports show averages around 156 to 160 eggs per hen with November aiming for about 11 eggs per bird. County Agent Clyde F. Tom notes rising profitability standards and plans meetings in Goshen and Bethel November 5 and 6 led by economist C. R. Arnold to discuss hog market trends and export factors.
A Clermont County meeting at Batavia Court House on October 25 voted unanimously 90 growers for a 1925 tobacco crop cutout. Tom Davidson was named chairman and L R Patchell secretary. Delegates including Willis Simmerman and Frank Ke were chosen for Georgetown talks. Franklin Township also approved 177 for and three against.
