Well Known Physician Dr John L Mounts Dies in Morrow
Dr John L Mounts a prominent county physician died at his Morrow home Wednesday evening in his 78th year. Born in Morrow he grew up on a farm and spent most of his life there except for Civil War service. He served 18 years as Morrow postmaster and was elected to the State Senate in 1879. He was widely esteemed and his death is mourned.

Death of Lester Spradlin in Jackson Township
Lester Spradlin of Jackson township died after a year long illness. He was buried Tuesday at Hutchinson Cemetery in Greenberry. He was a nephew of Ex-Com missioner B. J. Hutchinson and formerly a traveling salesman. He is survived by his mother one brother and one sister.

Two Cannons Guard Entrance at Milford Cemetery

RODENFELS CASE: Grand Jury Indicts Loveland Doctor
Clermont county grand jury indicts Dr. J. D. Wakefield of Loveland for perjury in the Rodenfels case. Mrs Rodenfels’ earlier $10,000 verdict against the B and O Railway was reduced to $8,000 on retrial and appealed. Wakefield, former pension board member and railroad surgeon, faces new legal action and a separate suit by Mr Rodenfels for $6,000.

Board of Visitors Deliberates on County Institutions
Clermont county committee for the State Board of Charities met at the M E Parsonage to review the infirmary and jail. The infirmary shows good order with clean, well kept beds and proper sanitation while the jail has excellent inmate care but a defective building with leaky roof and needed plumbing. Delegates to the Canton convention were chosen: Mrs Witus and Rev Burdsall. A formal report will follow.
