The Clermont County Delinquent Tax Commission, led by director B N West, says foreclosures or forfeiture actions will target about 43821.29 dollars of real estate as delinquencies persist. The statement notes growth in current tax collections and total commission costs under 1 percent of tax revenue.

Paul Kramer, a Batavia elder and longtime baker, marked his 76th anniversary Sunday. His children Fritz and John and their families from Columbus, Mr. and Mrs. C Leever and son from Dayton, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kramer with Ruth from Batavia attended. A fine dinner followed. the Kramer restaurant is renowned for daily good eats and hosting Sunday parties.

Mt Orab defeated Owensville 6 to 5 to take an early lead in the Clermont county league title series. Mt Orab collected 9 hits off Owensville pitching for 6 runs, with a ninth inning homer by Mitchell proving decisive. Next Sunday Mt Orab hosts the rematch at Mt Crab with Moler pitching.

The Amelia Woman's Club gathered at Mrs. Albert Coombs on October 22. The program centered on Temperance with quotes and life of Frances E. Willard. A vocal solo by Virginia Nelson and other talks followed, plus a needlework display from the blind benefiting sale hosted by Mrs. John Pommert.

Glen Este Farmer Struck by Hit-Skip Near Home

John Olinger, a Glen Este farmer, was seriously injured when struck by a hit-skip driver on 74 near his home Friday. He suffered a broken leg and was taken to Good Samaritan hospital for treatment. The motorist left the scene.

Rat Bait On Sale In County For Eradication Campaign

A list of 20 dealers across Clermont County were named to distribute poisoned rat bait for the annual eradication drive to be held Friday November 4th. Dealers include Goshen Farm Bureau Coop Branch Edenton Jones General Store and others. Each 10 ounce meat and 10 ounce fish bait priced at 35 cents per package, mixed by the U S Department of Biological Survey and sold at cost for farmers.

Raymond Services at Bethel Today

Funeral services for Charles Raymond of Bantam will be held at Kennedy Funeral Home Bethel Wednesday at 2 PM with burial in Old Bethel Cemetery. Raymond died Sunday at his daughter Mrs Lillian Ross home where he lived. He was employed by the Crane Company Cincinnati. Mrs Ross is his only survivor.

Clermont county hosts 1937 corn husk contests near Williamsburg. William Snyder of Batavia won the men shock title with 996.8 lbs, Woodrow Snyder second, John Manley third, and Theodore Ralston fourth. Mrs. Florence Campbell led the ladies with 261.5 lbs in 30 minutes.
