Moving the Batavia to Cincinnati Pike Rapidly
The lower section between Batavia and Williamsburg is moving quickly with five large tracks hauling crushed stone from the Batavia brick yard. A large crew and a crusher work there, stone laid during fall and awaiting the crusher while crews spread it along the road. When finished, the pike will be good from the Brown county line into Cincinnati and travel will be heavy. Drivers are urged to slow and share the road to prevent accidents as the road bed is only 12 feet.

D H Lechard Insurance Man Dies Suddenly
H Lechard a Williamsburg insurance man and former bank cashier died suddenly at his home Monday morning from heart trouble. He was 68, leaving a widow and one son. A respected figure in business, he had worked in real estate and insurance in later years.

Contract Completed on Owensville Catholic Church
A. H. Clark, contractor, turned over the Owensville church project to the building committee after finishing the contract. He missed only 160 bricks out of 56,000, with much of the brickwork done by him and his brother. The paneled interior shows fine workmanship and the church cost about $75,000 with labor and contract.

Clermont flyer with new plane crashes in flight
Hugh Robbins of Williamsburg attempted a test flight from 8 p m in a northwest path with a companion named Moss. The aircraft failed at about 500 feet over the half acre district between Williamsburg and Batavia, breaking apart on impact. Both occupants escaped injury though Moss suffered a facial cut from glass in his goggles. Robbins may abandon aviation after this fourth crash.
