Six Clermont Countians Attend Ohio Cancer Meet
Six Clermont County residents attended the American Cancer Society annual meeting and training in Columbus at the Neil House. Attendees included Ernest C. Friedrich and his wife Emma Kimball, Dorothy Idlett, Russell J. Speidel, Dr. James C. Spence, and Floy B. Smith. Dr. Wilford D. Nusbaum accepted the Ohio Division stewardship. Dr. George T. Pack spoke at the dinner to about 400 volunteers. Reports will be given at the Batavia office meeting Oct. 24. Volunteers and office workers are urged to contact the local office at 29 N. Market St.

Airman Injured In Auto Crash Near Felicity Ohio
Airman John Johnson 21 of Millersport Ohio stationed at the Nike Base suffered a severe head injury and possible internal injuries when his car crashed into a tree on Route 183 near Felicity around 12 45 am Tuesday. State Highway Patrol says he apparently fell asleep at the wheel and he was transported to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Broadwell ambulance.
