Owensville Elementary School hosts a chili supper on Oct 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria with a public invitation. Afterward, 8 to 10 p.m., kindergarten through fourth grade students attend a Halloween Party. West Clermont Menu lists Oct 30 and 31 meals.
St Thomas More PTA hosts a pre election dance and delegation celebration on Saturday November 2 from 9 to 1 at the W T Community Park Building. Paul Abbinante and His Melo Dairs provide music with refreshments and door prizes included. Mary Kanis is PTA president and names Jack Sutter as general chairman with Bernice Sutter Evelyn Link Joyce DeTellum as ticket chairmen. Decorations are led by Edfin Disney and Helen Fehn. Tickets are limited and sold on a first come first served basis.
The West Clermont Jr. Women’s Club will meet Monday October 28 at 8 p.m. in the Williamsville Community Park Building. A liquid embroidery demonstration and final luncheon and fashion show plans will be discussed. Attendees may contact Mrs. Marvin Foster or Mrs. Robert Craige. Unselfishness praised as a rare virtue.
The Wilhi amsville Mt Carmel American Legion auxiliary plans care packages for service members in Vietnam. Local residents may submit names and addresses to Mrs Westie Kastin or Mrs Robert Mc Bride by November 1. Donations of pens flashlights pocketknives lighters tissues games candy tape cards and reading material are welcome.
Area residents from Clermont County attended the Ohio Congress of Parents and Teachers in Cleveland. Participants listed include Joyce Beatty, Pat Pride, Paul Eckert, Dennie Pennington, Ralph Campbell, Eugene Jennings, and Richard Burger. The Clermont County PTA council meets Oct 28 at Cook Elementary Goshen. Marathon Grange hosts a regular card party Oct 26 with prizes and refreshments.
The annual Park Board Halloween Dance will be at 9 p.m. October 26 in the Community Park Building. Admission is seven dollars per couple, includes lunch and refreshments. Allan's Combo will provide music, prizes will be awarded for best costumes, and proceeds go to paying for the Community Park Building.
The Ladies Circle of the Batavia Church of Christ will host a 6 30 p m banquet in the church basement for men and boys in the Bible School and church. The program titled In His Steps features speaker R J Kidwell of Cincinnati.
