Mrs. Helen Nathanson of Summerside is scheduled for trial December 12 on a first degree murder charge for the September 7, 1963 slaying of her husband Mel. She had been found legally insane in December 1963 and was in Lima State Hospital. Judge M Dale Osborne set the date after Nathanson’s release from the hospital was announced. Dolder, a State Highway Patrolman, was shot while officers tried to disarm her. he received a heroism award.
