Woman Tricks Two Cincinnati Men In Clermont County Trap

Clermont County woman lured Edward M. Coy and Richard L. Brown to her home where she held them at gunpoint and summoned the sheriff. Coy and Brown, charged with threats and lewd language, were released on $1,000 bond each with a county court hearing set for 4 p.m. after their arrest at Anna Beckley’s Beechmont Drive residence.

Rhodes Cabinet Set Georgetown Meeting Oct 30

Governor James A. Rhodes and cabinet members will attend an industrial development meeting in Georgetown on Oct. 30. Public officials and business groups from Clermont, Brown and Adams Counties are invited to Carey Bavis Post, American Legion, Rt. 68. They will arrive by motorcade and hold a TV conference at Aberdeen airport. A 10 to 11:45 a.m. general session will precede a Q and A on state financing of local industrial expansion.

Combined PTA Session Planned By Clermont District

Clermont school district schedules a combined session on November 12 at 8 pm at Glen Este High School. The program, run by the administration, will cover team teaching new math approaches ungraded primary trades and industrial education and parental involvement in education. Hospitality and publicity are handled by local PTAs and schools.

Sugar and Sand In Cars After Williamsburg Game

Police report sugar and sand were placed in several autos after the Williamsburg Glen Este football game. Two 12 year olds were cited for destruction of property and vehicle tampering. Victims include Kenneth Osborne and six more residents with damages ranging from 7 to 44 dollars. two side mirrors and four radio antennas were found among the tampered cars.

County acts on repair requests in Batavia area

Commissioners directed the County Engineer to fix a drainage problem on old Rt. 28 at Robert Wagner’s Goshen property where a state tile drains onto his land. They also approved ditching on Airport Road in Tate Township and a new 18 inch tile near Autd Ison’s property on Shaker Road. A township road acceptance and Woodville Pike edge repairs were sent to the engineer. The panel invited to lunch at the Batavia County School for Retarded Children on Oct. 29.

Rabies Treatment Policy Continued

Health officials extend policy on rabies treatment for persons bitten by animals.
