Ge Wins Home Beautification Trophy at 31 Entrants
GE won the home beautification trophy with 31 contestants and will be their permanently. A fine afternoon program at the County Home included fruit for attendees. Mr J W McDonald Batavia school superintendent will speak at the Grange Victory Banquet Monday Oct 26 at the U B church Batavia. The Grange vocal quartet contest will be held during the event.

Speedliners Finish Season With Win Over Mt Crab
The Batavia Speedliners closed their 1942 baseball season with a 6 to 2 victory over Mt Crab, champions of the Clermont Brown County League. Potter allowed two hits as Batavia tallied four runs in the first inning and rapped 14 hits. Ireton and Day led the offense with seven safeties between them.
