Corn fungus deemed not serious in Clermont County

Clermont County Agricultural officials say alf toxin corn fungus poses no major threat to area farmers. Sutton notes only a few state cases involve corn from last year’s storage and warmer temperatures promote the fungus. Cooperative Extension cautions black light tests are presumptive. confirmation needs minicolumn and thin layer chromatography.

Halloween Dance at VFW Post 3954 in Greenbrier Rd

VFW Post 3954 Greenbrier Rd Afton hosts a Halloween Dance on Saturday Oct 29 from 9 pm to 1 am with music by Down Home Majority. Tragic Goshen Crash Deadly Exhaust Defect

Two Goshen residents James 21 and Ronnie Trapp were found dead in a 1964 Chevrolet Malibu on Gibbs Road Goshen Township after engine ran on patrol. Coroner ruled accidental death due to defective exhaust system. Bodies taken to Clermont County Hospital.

Three Men Stabbed in Symmes Township Assault

Three men, Jimmy Messer 25 Charles Messer 27 and William J. Smith were hospitalized in fair condition at Bethesda North Hospital after a 1:05 a.m. felonious assault. The victims were stabbed with injuries to the side and back. Five suspects are being sought and no motive is given.

Bethel Officials Seek Coordinator for Growth Plan

Bethel officials plan to pass a resolution to hire a coordinator under the CETA program. Miami Township Unveils Zoning Changes and Public Hearings
