Ohio Taxpayers Face $27 Share of Federal Budget Increase
The Ohio Chamber of Commerce outlines that Ohioans will bear $520 million of a $9 billion rise in federal appropriations for 1962. Based on 1960 data, per capita cost is $53.60 and a four person family pays $2124.40. Clermont County would pay $2,174,436. The chamber notes $520 million could fund 17,300 classrooms or 433,325 children, and could fund 433 miles of road at $2 million per mile.

Jackson Declines Reelection Run In 1962
Clermont County's Charles W. Jackson says he will not seek reelection to the Legislature in 1962 amid reluctance. The 39-year-old attorney from Batavia has served on the Reference and Education and Highway Committees and resides in Glen Este with his wife and four children.
