New competency based education tests will assess kindergarten through seventh grade students and also gauge teachers and administrators. Dr. Leo Bradley notes the program began five years ago and expands this fall from K-4 to K-7 with planned 1986 full K-12 rollout.
Clermont County extends Ohio Cooperative Extension efforts funded by a federal grant to help families with very limited food budgets. One full time and one half time nutrition aide served 83 families, offering home visits and guidance on planning nutritious meals, shopping wisely, storing food, and serving attractively.
A three part bonsai gardening workshop will be held at the Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati located at 2715 Reading Road. Sessions are on October 19 October 26 and November 2. Fees are 25 dollars for members and 30 dollars for non members. For more information call 221 0981.
