Auto Crash Near Amelia Endangers Two Riders
At 1 30 Sunday morning on the Grant Highway near the C G P crossing in Amelia an Oakland All American driven by Frank Painter of Bethel collided with an electric freight train led by Charles Mitchell. Painter and Hazel Blantin Spradlin of Ashland Ky escaped serious harm though Painter suffered head injuries and Spradlin a sprained ankle. Both were taken to a local home for first aid and later to Bethel by ambulance.
