Summerside Road Park rises from old sewer plant site
An abandoned Clermont County Water and Sewer District plant on Summerside Road in Union Township is planned for a 6.1 acre park by next summer. The project, chosen for size and flat terrain, includes a playground and pavilion with an observation deck unlikely. a basketball and volleyball court may be added with youth labor help. The park will transfer from sewer district to park district, serving a countywide recreation need.

Russell Joins Williamsburg School Board Seat
Paul Russell was appointed to the Williamsburg Board of Education to replace retiree Shirley Abrams at the last meeting. The district plans a one mill bond issue for 23 years expected to raise 430,000 for improvements. Supt. Herschel Coran said voters approving the bond would fund roof replacements at the elementary and high schools, plus brick work repairs and window replacements at the old high school.

Clermont County Grand Jury indicted Winn a 38 year old laborer for aggravated murder in the Zimmer Power Station case. Brooks 59 died days after a blow at the site when a layoff notice was served.
