Sealed bids will be received by the Auditor at Batavia Ohio until noon Friday November 6 1925 for the construction of a bridge over the O Ban ami towns. Bids must include a guaranteed erection cost of improvement estimated at 17 dollars and be accompanied by a certificate.
Bids must be sealed and marked Bid for County Commissioners with the right to reject any or all bids. Bids open at the Warren and Vermont County Commissioners office by order of the Board.
The Batavia and Union Bridge Turnpike through Batavia Village is declared an arterial highway from Fifth street to Main street and Water street to the north line. Stop signs will be erected at intersections and vehicle right of way given to arterial highway traffic. Violators face fines from two to twenty five dollars upon mayoral complaint and hearing.
Ohio Director of Highways announces a hearing at the Batavia Court House on October 30 1925 at 10 am regarding the proposed inter county highway in Clermont County from Bethel through Tate township to Williamsburg and Batavia Winchester road about six miles. Whit Jones of Wayne township near Edenton was taken to St Francis hospital last Tuesday for incurables after four years with tuberculosis.
