Little Charley son of Mr and Mrs Gilbert Thomas dies after years of spinal trouble at age 14. He was patient pleasant and a favorite at home and town. Burial followed Saturday with Rev J A Smith of Second M E church officiating and many friends.

The thief, Charles McAllister, was found with a hatchet iron bar chisel and sling shot and planned to load two hampers for river transport. He is jailed in Batavia on burglary charges. described as a dangerous character.
