Grand Jury Convenes in Clermont County October Session

The Clermont county grand jury met Monday October 7 at 9 o'clock with Judge Frank Davis presiding. Foreman A F Kayser of Moscow took the oath after Elmer Shields filled the vacancy. The jury was instructed on duties, secrecy, and enforcing the corrupt practices law to prevent vote buying.

Reunion of 59th regiment at Bethel draws large crowd

The 59th regiment reunion at Bethel on October 5 drew about 1500 attendees with 75 members registered and 95 from other commands. Col. M. J. Holter was elected president and Senator Foraker spoke after a busy program including songs, readings, and a patriotic address. The next reunion is set for Highland Park on the first Saturday in October 1918.

Organ Recital Opens New Batavia Pipe Organ

Judicial Amendment No 20 Not In Effect In Clermont
