Ambitious fundraising drive runs through Oct 29 with a $125,772 goal. Notable contributors include Jerry Doughlas Priscilla McBride Priscilla O Donnell Robert Ringland and Larry Walker as attorney supporters frame generosity in a community campaign.
Sherry Borke daughter of Mr and Mrs Dan Borke sits first in the nation in horse reining with her six year old Ss Pine. The Lee horse lovers own horses over 20 years and Sherry frequently wins in other classes while her heart stays with reining and its challenges. In 1980 they won the Gold unnerving award and she says the sport taught her graciousness in defeat as well as success.
Drilling in Clermont County by the Department of Natural Resources produces core samples from over 1,000 feet for mapping and reporting. Public access to maps and reports will be provided. President William Jones invites Scottish Rite members and guests to the annual fall meeting on Saturday October 17 at 6:30. Dinner priced at 3 dollars per person. Special drill bit cuts rock layers to form 2 inch diameter cores about 10 feet long. A steel line brings cores to the surface for cataloging.
