Clermont County appoints Clyde Dericks sheriff to fill unexpired term
Clyde B. Dericks, Milford acting mayor, was appointed by Clermont County Commissioners to serve as sheriff after the death of Thomas Brooks. The Republican Central Committee endorsed him unanimously, and he was sworn in by Common Pleas Judge Harry Britton. Dericks, 49, veteran of World War I, is a lifelong Clermont County resident with prior local business and municipal service.

One Killed Six Injured in Milford Auto Crash
A two car collision on Wooster Pike Milford Friday left Zenobia Roflow 45 dead and six others injured. Robert Roflow Nancy Roflow and Chester Noertker were hospitalized with serious injuries while Ze nobia Ro flow's children remained treated and released. Driver Sree Monroe Spears of Newtonsville was also injured. Services for Zenobia Ro flow were held at Craver Funeral Home.
