Alonzo Hall Slain by Wife Admits Crime in Milford
Alonzo Hall known as Lightning, 46, was shot and killed at his Milford home by his wife Barbara Hall, 18. Barbara admitted murder after initial denial, was jailed, and was bound over to the Clermont County grand jury on a first degree murder charge amid alleged jealousy and a troubled background. John P. Hanna, 36, salesman for Esco Coffee Co., killed himself at his uncle’s Mt. Holly farm, entering through a kitchen window and using a .88 revolver. His wife and two children in Cincinnati and his parents in Lafayette, Ind., survive.

Miss Jean Moyer, Clermont County Red Cross Volunteer Service Chairman, received a London letter from Lady Stille Read ing thanking Clermont for garments sent over the past year. The message notes the aid aids those affected by bombings and expresses gratitude for each member’s sacrifice. Last week’s shipment from the chapter included 45 girls, 17 women’s dresses, 17 dresses, sweaters, and 12 adults.
