Mrs. Bauer Dies After Illness During Community Meetings
Mrs. Albert Bauer died at The Good Samaritan Hospital Cincinnati after a surgical operation for bowel strangulation during a corn shredding party at a neighbor’s. She lived on the Erastus Hulick farm with her family and was a Batavia U B church member. Funeral is at Batavia Court House church Tuesday with a Union cemetery burial. Local Farm Bureau program features Will Winemiller and Ray Stoddard discussing new developments and a European Corn Borer film.

Ohio swine club reports lighter average litters this year
Twenty eight swine growers from 17 Ohio counties reported 29 ton litters to the Ton Litter Club of Ohio. This year the average litter weighed 2212 pounds and the average pig 207 pounds, below five year averages. The heaviest litter weighed 2680 pounds from Sidney Myser of Delaware County. Calvin Tracht of Galion had two ton litters, and W C Taylor of Collinsville earned a fifth straight ton litter record.
