Morris Snider of Goshen was sick last week and shot a deer in the dark then butchered it for his neighbors.
Blacksmith J. M. Crosswell hid behind an alder bush Friday morning to catch the thief stealing rails. The suspect dismantled the fence. Crosswell fired but caused no harm. Joseph Wood was then arrested, examined, and fined one dollar plus costs by Squire McLean.
