Neville Man Hurt By Car Arrest Shifts to Jail
A Cincinnati motorist Kenneth Rogers 29 was jailed 15 days for drunken driving after his car struck and injured Roy Williams 63 of Neville at Kline Hill Route 74 outside Batavia. Williams hospitalized at Christ Hospital with a compound leg fracture and possible internal injuries. Sheriff Clyde Dericks said Rogers was returning from a hunting trip and driving at high speed. Williams works for the State Highway Department.

William Conover Dies Of Heart Attack at 75
William Conover of Water Street Batavia died Tuesday afternoon from a heart ailment at age 75. Rev Thomas F Coleman of Holy Trinity Church found him on Main Street and offered a ride home in his car. Conover died en route. Former State Highway Department employee, he is survived by his wife Helen. Services at Blanchester from Hanna Funeral Home with interment at Edenton.

Thanksgiving Budget Row Alters New Richmond Levy
Clermont County Budget Commission passed a budget for the New Richmond Board of Education and cut the operating levy from 7.6 to six mills. Bethel police chief and minister Rev Howard Pitzer died Friday morning at Bethesda Hospital Cincinnati at age 50 from a heart ailment. He led Bethel police from 1944 to 1951 before illness paused his service. Born March 8 in Hamersville he served several area churches and is survived by wife Louise three children a sister a brother and a step-brother.
