Bus Turns Over Between Sardinia and Cincinnati
A second trip bus from Sardinia to Cincinnati via Batavia left the Rosehill road Tuesday morning, rolled twice after front wheels locked, injuring several passengers. Floyd McKinney of Williamsburg suffered a broken arm and bruises. Mrs W A Myers fractured ribs. Henry Ostholthoff had internal injuries. M J Kain sustained head and abdominal fractures. P F Jamieson was unhurt. Doctors from Newtown treated the injured as the bus suffered heavy damage.

Jury convicts Scott Workman of first degree murder

Prominent Citizen Millard McNutt Dies at Home
Williamsburg mayor Millard McNutt died at his home last Thursday evening after a failed attempt to take his own life. He was a longtime implement business figure and is survived by four daughters. Funeral services will be held Saturday with burial in Williamsburg cemetery. The 70 acre Schrieber farm east of town changed hands last week in a sale from Chas Freemyer to Bessie Silverglade for a summer home and poultry farm.

Laurel Ohio Church Dedication Marks Milestone
Citizens of Laurel and Clermont County gathered last Sunday week for the dedication of their new Methodist church. Rev. Albert E. Smith D D president of Ohio Northern University led the services, returning to Laurel after nearly forty years. About 5000 was raised or pledged to clear debt, with the church now a modern, well equipped house of worship. Rev. S E Burgett, the pastor, had faced disaster when the former church burned, yet led a drive to build a larger facility. The dedication was conducted with Dr Smith and a slate of visiting clergy assisting, the auditorium filled to capacity.

Robbers Hit Bethel Store For $500 In Goods
Robbers visited E A Days department store at Bethel early last Wednesday taking about 500 dollars worth of merchandise. A night watchman fired at them four times and the thieves fled. Three youths John Weghorn Geo Woolfall and Chas Fagin were arrested after Day identified the goods. They confessed and were jailed charged with burglary. Earlier New Richmond saw a separate theft of 360 dollars worth of goods.

Bond Issue Loses In Monroe Township School Plan
A November bond vote in Monroe Township failed by 28 votes, denying $8600 for a new school at Point Pleasant after a fire destroyed the old building.
